20 Months Old and New Family Pics

It's been so long, I've almost forgotten how to do it! Anyway, things have been so great. So many awesome new things have happened. First of all, we moved! Well... it was just upstairs, but it makes all the difference! We have around 10+ windows here compared to the THREE we had in the basement. Which means at least THREE TIMES more light. SO fabulous. And also, our new neighbors downstairs are our favorite family/friend, cards, games, movies, and just plain old hang-out buddies, the FAUSETT'S (Darin's brother, Dustin, and his wife Rachel and brand new baby Baylee). I think I'll never sleep properly again!

Also, Jakob is just SO MUCH FUN! He absolutely loves learning new words. He can read just a couple! He can read the words nose, eyes, mouth, and ball. He could play hours on end with his ball (well, he prefers playing ball WITH someone). He kicks it and catches all over the place, and when he throws it, he usually counts, "One, TaOoooo!"

When counting to ten he gets up to about six and then lets me go till eight then says, "nine, te!"
He loves reading time at night, and he's getting much better at holding still and folding his arms during prayers!

Aside from that, the kid has an excellent sense of humor! He just makes me laugh so hard and usually gets himself laughing pretty hard while he's at it. I just love the "boy" sound in his laugh. It's deep and throaty. My little man.

Also, this kid has Grandpa Fausett wrapped around his finger. Those two are such pals (and who can blame 'em. Jake gets a cookie EVERY single time he sees him).

Jake is also pals with his cousin Beckem. They had time together while Beckem's mommy, Shantell (Darin's sister), went in to have her baby. It was a riot! Those two are going to conquer the world together... or something. They follow each other around, squealing and giggling, grunting and pointing, probably plotting and conspiring things together all the day long! Honestly, I wish I had half the cute interactions they have together on camera, then you could see for yourself! One time, I was in the other room and suddenly heard the two of them burst out laughing. Then it would go silent for a second, and I'd hear it again! They were playing peek- a-boo, and were loving it!

Last point of business I'd like to record:

HAPPY THREE YEAR ANNIVERSARY!!!

Darin and I have been married three years on the 31st of May. Heavenly Father blessed me with a person who treats me SO VERY well! Jakob just adores him too. Time flies so quickly doesn't it? And no, sorry, I'm not a huge fan of cheesy gushing (especially public stuff)... at least I'm not anymore if I ever used to be!! Haha! But any of you who know Darin know that I am very lucky.

Enjoy some pictures :)

Jakob on the left. Beckem on the right.
At the playground. Jakob is hilarious when he goes down slides! He doesn't have any sort of fear or inhibition when it comes to slides. He just sorta walks off the edge and plunks down, usually without hurting himself, often twisted up in all kinds of un-natural ways! Hilarious!

Look at the tongue! Ha!
