I'm seriously considering taking up quilting as a new hobby. One problem... I've never done it before! I think it's such a useful skill! I love looking at other people's work and decided I want in. So, if anyone has any advice on where on earth I should start, I'm all ears!

Rag quilts is where I started. They are super easy and your pieces don't gave to be exact.
Try a rag quilt, then move onto square patterns. The ones that have points are the hardest. The truth is as long as your fabric is cut right and you can sew in a straight line you shouldn't have any problems. Quilting is fun! If you have questions or need a fun pattern let me know. I have a few and would be happy to help you if I can.
I just hand quilted my first one! I didn't piece it, although I've made a few rag quilts. It was a lot of fun. I made one side out of that really soft fleece and the other side with Tecot. I think it turned out cute! If you're going to hand quilt though, make sure you have quilt stands. They are a MUST! Good luck! Make sure you show what you're making!
