First Time at HAFB

I know it's pathetic, but I've never been to the Hill Air Force Base before the airshow a couple weeks ago. It's really amazing!! I would recommend it highly! Anyway, here are some fun little pics of us checking it out.
Wait! Before I post the pictures, I just thought I'd let everyone know how happy I am that MY COUSIN GARRETT SMITH CAME HOME FROM HIS MISSION! His homecoming talk and party were held yesterday (the same day new baby Mason, Sharelle Smith Rich's baby, was blessed). It was so fun to catch up with everyone and see everybody! I am so blessed to have such good family!
Thanks, Donita and Legrand, for letting us hang out at your place so much this week too! You guys are always the best hosts and we just love you and your beautiful family to death!
Okay- now you can have a look at the pictures-

A little American/German patriotism! (It's a joke)

Duck face.

Bringing out the guns.

Ultimate "turn the other cheek", no?

Perfect likeness! We were being so goofy, if you didn't notice.

Seats would eject if a plane started going down. How scary would that be!

Jakob had this face on the entire time we were there. He LOVED the planes!

I said to Darin, "That helicopter is HUGE!" So he thought he'd try to match the description. Didn't work out too well, Hon.

Can you imagine what it must have been like in the war? We tried too!

Look at the spaceman or alien in the background!

Blurry feet. Jake's specialty.

"Ah bah ah bah ah bah!!" Jake's approval gesture.

Nothing more sexy than a space suit!! :)

Darin really wanted to figure out how those wires worked!

Look! An "ALLISON" turbojet engine! So proud!!

Holy engine. You'd have to be blind not to appreciate such a beast!

I'm about as long as the atomic bomb! It was one of the first models.

Look at the SIZE of those missles!

Teaching that black fighter jet and it's skeleton symbol a lesson!

Another imitation.

You can't see the manequin, but Darin's imitation is pretty similar! I was cracking up!

Some more "ALLISON" engines!

Cuter-than-a-button baby Jakey!

Men and planes... they just belong together, don't they?

First airplane model ever made.

Looks like you guys had a fun time. I have never been to a air show either. I might just have to go next year.

That is so fun! (Don't feel bad, I think I may have gone to HAFB when I was home schooled, but who knows. It is kinda sad we live so close and have not gone). We love you guys, so glad we have been able to have some time to get together. Cute pictures!
