I have A LOT to catch up on. Jakob turned a year old back in August. Here's a little post for all the things he was doing back then! Tomorrow, or soon, I'll post what he does these days. Enjoy!
Jakob (1 year):
Walks back and forth between mommy and daddy.
Does the Mogli Walk still.
Says, "Whas tha?" (what's that), "bah bah" (for bath and bottle), "wah woo" (water), "muh" (more), "psh" (push), "mah mah" (mama), "deh deh" (daddy), "dah doo" (thank you). He also imitates.
Jakob is still incredibly flexible, able to put his legs in practically any position you can think of. He also likes to kick his ball and chase after his ball throwing it.
Loves playing ball and chase.
Is cuddly and affectionate WHEN TIRED.
Bounces to the beat of any song that's playing (knows what 'dance' means).
Knows that "daddy" means Darin, in word and sign, and crawls like a spider to the door whenever he comes home.
Blows raspberries in short bursts and arches his back, head to bum, when he gets upset.
Loves the camera and throws out his biggest smiles when it's out.
Still pounds food: Breakfast (a few eggs and two pieces of toast), Lunch (large portions of whatever the main course is and vegetables), Dinner is the same.
Loves to drink from a cup. He's really good at it to. He gets these huge concentrated eyes and gulps it with loud sucking noises.
Loves playing around with cousins.
Giggles and squeals when playing with mom and dad.
This picture makes me laugh every time.
I love this kid more and more and more every minute.

I think the picture with Jakob standing in front of the tree is the cutest picture ever! He is such a doll, Allison. He definitely looks like a Townley. :) Especially when he smiles. So adorable. It will amaze you to look back at this post in a few months and see how far he's come. I wish I would have written down some of Ben's achievements as he got older. This will be so fun for you to have!
I LOVE the pics! He is such an adorable kid - he looks like a jolly boy. You are such a great mom. It's really amazing what we learn as moms. I'm so glad you're posting on your blog...it makes me feel like you're not SO far away.

Oh my goodness Allison! I LOVE him.. I want to be his buddy! He makes me laugh so hard, he is adorable! That little belly.. and huge smile! He is getting so big! I hope you all are doing well.. lets get together soon! I need some good laughs, and girl time!

Jakob is an adorable little boy! We love it when we are able to see you guys and enjoy watching him be himself. I loved your grateful comments, and know we are all better off when we remember to be grateful. We love you guys, and hope to see you soon!
